How Long is an EOS Meeting?
The EOS meeting is 90 minutes long and as mentioned above should be carried out on the same day, same time with the same agenda.
Typically the EOS meeting will be carried out weekly. The weekly cadence allows you to consistently follow up on issues week in and week out. This also allows you to tackle any pending issues without leaving them out.

Check-in (5 minutes)
Start with a win to get your team into a winning and positive habit. Countless studies have shown that a positive mindset can take your team a very long way. A winning start helps place every one's mindset into a winning one. The wins can be personal or professional as long as it generates positivity and a winning atmosphere.
Scorecard Update (5 minutes)
Go through the company's 3-5 key metrics and check in on how the organization is doing with respect to these metrics. These are your most important metrics that are the vital signs of the company. Only 5 minutes are allocated here and therefore no issues or comments should be highlighted here.
This is just a run down of the metrics and how you are doing. Issues and comments will be addressed in the issues portion of the meeting.
Rock Update (5 minutes)
"Rocks" are the main quarterly goals or projects the organization is focused on for that particular quarter. Go through the "rocks" to check in on how the organization is doing with respect to your "rocks". Are you on track or off track?
Again no issues or comments should be discussed here since only 5 minutes are allocated to this portion. Save the comments and issues for the issues section later on.
Customer/Employee Headlines (5 minutes)
This is a quick update on headline news and any major developments in the organization. These should be one sentence main updates from the leadership team or whoever is providing the update.
Action Item Review List (5 minutes)
Run through your to-do list or action items to check in on what was done and what is pending from last week's meeting. The action items from the previous week are typically 7 day action items and they should either be complete or pending. This portion will only list the status of the action items without comments or discussing issues.
Issues: Identify/Discuss/Resolve (60 minutes)
This is the longest part of the meeting and a very crucial step. Run through the top priorities & issues within the organization and complete the IDS framework for each issue: IDS stands for Identify, Discuss, and Solve. Go through the root cause of the issues and focus on resolving them.
This is the part where you create new to do lists for the week to be completed before your next meeting. Issues that have been part of the to do list for more than 3 weeks should be designated as quarterly issues to be discussed in your quarterly meetings.
Conclusion (5 minutes)
Conclude the meeting on a positive note and complete the following:

- List whats to be done and your next steps
- Finally rate your meeting
